Bodhi Tree Gardens began with a simple but important mission: creating a safe, non toxic sunscreen for my son, Bodhi.

After researching many so called “natural” products, I discovered that a lot of them still contained ingredients I didn’t feel comfortable putting on my child’s skin, especially in the sun. Determined to create something safer, I began formulating my own botanical sunscreen using ingredients I trusted completely. That single product became the foundation of Bodhi Tree Gardens.

Bodhi Tree Gardens grew during a deeply transformative time in my life. After the end of a difficult marriage, I turned to gardening, herbalism, and creating as a way to heal and rebuild. What started as time spent growing herbs and flowers became a daily practice rooted in slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and learning the powerful benefits of whole plants — not only for wellness, but for everyday skincare and self care rituals.

Today, every product is still handcrafted in small batches using ingredients grown from seed in our organic garden whenever possible. We slowly infuse whole plants into our oils and formulas to capture their full botanical potency, creating products that are intentional, effective, and deeply nourishing.

Over time, Bodhi Tree Gardens has grown into a botanical skincare, tea, and wellness brand offering handcrafted skincare, salves, balms, herbal teas, tinctures, bath and body products, and seasonal offerings inspired directly by the garden.

I also wrote Rooted & Rising, a book sharing my story, herbal recipes, and practical ways to incorporate natural remedies and intentional rituals into everyday life.

Bodhi Tree Gardens is more than a shop. It is a space rooted in conscious living, beauty, healing, and connection to the earth. From visiting our farm stand and flower garden to meeting our flock and seeing where our ingredients are grown, every part of this business is built with intention, transparency, and care.

The name “Bodhi” serves as a reminder that wellness begins from within — and that healing can start with something as simple as a seed, a plant, or a daily ritual.
